Mango (Mangifera indica)

The mango (Mangifera indica) is native to the tropics and is a stone fruit that can vary in shape. The fruit is five to twenty centimetres long, oval in shape. When ripe, the fruit can be green, yellow, orange or red. The flesh of the mango is soft and juicy. Mango has a sweet taste. When the mango is ripe it goes through a processing process after which a granulate remains.
