Origin of Pineapples

Pineapple granules are made from the fruit of the pineapple. The pineapple is a tropical plant and originates from Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay. The word pineapple comes from Tupi, the language of the Tupi-Indians from the Amazon region, and it means excellent fruit. The fruit of the pineapple can be described as a large composite false fruit. This means that inside the fruit is a thickened, fleshy and fibrous flowering stem. The flesh then surrounds this. The outer part of the pineapple consists of the petals, the upper part of the ovary and the brown tips of the bracts. The pineapple is rich in vitamins and therefore a very healthy fruit to eat.

The pineapple grows best in areas where the temperature is between 18-35 ° C. In a colder area, the pineapple will be too sour and in a warmer area too sweet. The average pineapple takes between 20 and 24 months to grow and then needs 6 months to ripen. The flesh is often canned, as the pineapple does not ripen after harvest.

The good properties of the pineapple are concentrated by drying it and processing it into granules.
