Marjoram Powder Organic
Marjoram (Origanum majorana) is a plant from the lipflower family. It is also known as sausage herb. The marjoram is native to the eastern Mediterranean and the plant has been known in Europe since ancient times.
Processing Marjoram Powder
After harvest, the good qualities of the marjoram are concentrated and then processed into marjoram powder. The powder has a green/silver colour.
Taste of Marjoram Powder
Marjoran has a slightly spicy aroma and tastes sweet and a little like mint. Marjoram has dried even more flavor than the fresh marjoram. It is related to oregano (wild marjoram) but still differs in taste. Marjoram is milder and sweeter. Marjoram is an important ingredient in popular herb mixes such as Bouquet Garni, Fine herbs and herbes de Provence.
