Rice Flour Organic
Rice is a cereal and a cultivated plant of the genus Oryza. Cultivated means that it is a plant species grown for human use and bred from wild plants. China is the largest producer and consumer of rice and Thailand is the largest exporter.
Rice has its origins in Asia. People started cultivating rice here in the tropics about 9,000 years ago. Evidence of this has been found in Shangsan with rice in pots along with tools to grind the rice. Growing this type of crop enabled people in Asia to live in one place. It was not until the 15th century that rice became better known and more widely eaten in Europe, due to the voyages of discovery to Asia.
Processing into Rice Flour
Rice has a growing process that takes between 3 and 6 months on average. After that it can be consumed or to be ground into rice flour and possibly sieved. Our rice flour is made by grinding whole grain rice on stones.
Use of Rice Flour
Rice flour is uncooked rice which is milled with a soft slightly sweet rice taste. Rice flour is naturally gluten-free, making it widely used as a gluten-free alternative to wheat flour. Rice flour can be used as a thickener or as the basis for making crackers, waffles, biscuits or other types of pastry.
More product information such as rice flour can be found under the heading characteristics in the specs sheet. We therefore recommend always reading that before using the product. In addition, we make sure to regularly improve the products we sell.

Flour and sieved flour are both made from ground grains.
For flour, the entire grain of the grain is ground, creating a (whole grain) flour. Flour has a coarse structure because of the pieces of cereal grains, it is therefore more suitable for baking bread or pancakes. Do you want to bake something with the most nutrients? Then go for a wholemeal flour instead of flour.
Sieved flour is the finer version of flour. To get flour, the grains are ground and then the skins, bran and germs are sieved out. Due to the fine structure of flour, Sieved flour is suitable for baking cookies or cakes.
