Good morning Oatmeal!
For some people a fixed ritual from an early age, but for others back from the road...oatmeal porridge. More and more people are putting it back on their daily menu. Definitely a healthy choice! Oatmeal has a number of particularly healthy properties, including:
✔ It has no gluten.
✔ Is full of vitamins and minerals.
✔ Contains a lot of anti-oxidants.
✔ Is full of dietary fibres.
✔ You stay full of them for a long time (satisfy your hunger).
✔ Is a source of protein
You can endlessly vary with your plate of oatmeal, there are many tasty combinations with extra ingredients to make. This oatmeal recipe contains pumpkin seeds (contain magnesium, zinc, copper, phosphorus, potassium, iron, vitamin E and vitamin B complex), broken flaxseed and raspberries and blueberries.
Ingredients:
✔ 200ml water or almond milk
✔ 5 tablespoons oatmeal (wholemeal, unsweetened)
✔ Scoop of flaxseed
✔ A handful of pumpkin seeds
✔ Raspberries and blueberries
✔ Possibly a little honey or maple syrup (for the sweet tooth)
Preparation
Step 1
put the milk or water with the oatmeal in a pan and bring it slowly to a boil. Stirring until it's a mushy mass.
Step 2
After about 4 to 5 minutes the porridge is ready and you can take the pan off the fire and pour it into a large bowl. If you think the mass is too thick, add a little extra milk or water to dilute.
Step3
Spoon the pumpkin seeds, flaxseed and fruit through the oatmeal and add some more honey or maple syrup.
